Covering the Youth Nights at the GLCC

My first article for the NewPeople is going to be about the Youth Nights at the GLCC of Pittsburgh, and it is a piece I'm excited about.

I went to two of the weekly Youth Nights and was greatly impressed both times. It's an amazing opportunity for young LGBTQ people who feel like they need a safe environment to talk to others who are like them. I hung out with them, talked about romance, politics and school. We also played games, like Jenga.

I got to know a lot of interesting young people, many of them very brave. It's heartbreaking to here what some of them have been through, but it's equally uplifting to hear the positive effect the GLCC Youth Nights have had on them.
